You NEED your gallbladder. Your body NEEDS healthy natural fat, especially your brain, which is 65% fat. If you stop eating fat, your gallbladder will stop working period. I did this technique over a year ago, and I still eat a high fat diet and am perfectly fine, without pain or supplements for my gallbladder.
Here’s a great recipe for a last minute dessert. It takes only a few minutes to make and you can chill it while you eat. Like all my kid friendly recipes, this is very low in sugar, and low sweet. You can sub other nut butter for the peanut butter.
You don’t need eggs to make this amazing Chocolate Ice Cream. You will need an ice cream maker, though!
I’d rather prevent lice, than end up with it. Really, just the thought of lice freaks me out. So, after the first scare of the dreaded email, that someone in Sunday School had lice, I started wondering what I could do to prevent it. Here is my recipe.
People often ask me how I got into natural remedies and Naturopaths, acupuncture, etc. Well, the reason is basically, because Western Medicine failed me, over and over. Now I’m not saying that I never turn to it.. obviously in some cases, we need antibiotics, surgery, bone settings, c-sections (sometimes), etc. They are life-savers. But when it came to my own health journey, I found more problems with traditional American medicine.
I keep hearing people referring to Whole Foods and how they are partnering with Monsanto. It’s driving me crazy! Look, I’m all about conspiracy theories, but this one is ALL about clickbait ratings.
First, let’s start with why I use organic grass-fed butter, which I believe is the best choice if you can have dairy. The biggest reason is vitamin K2, what Weston A. Price called the X-Factor in good health (read more on the link). Also, the CLA and beta-carotene alone is worth the use of grass-fed butter over regular butter (or any other type of oil). CLA is an anti-cancer fat which fights cancer, infections, and builds lean muscle. Also, of course, grass-fed butter is a source of healthy saturated fat. Our American diet is often way too high in Omega 6 and too low in Omega 3’s. The proper balance is 2:1 (Omega 3: Omega 6) but unfortunately the American Diet is often more like 1:20. I’ve provided some reading at the end of this article.
I love to make these chocolate pops for my son. They are full of real food, and protein; and he loves them. I don’t add any sweetener but the fruit. Everything gets sweeter as it is frozen. You can change the fruit around if you want. I made them once with frozen cherries and they were PINK! I use a Vitamix.
We have been experimenting with Meatza pizzas over here, since my husband has gone low carb. Love this one. Obviously skip the sauce if you are a non-plant eating zero carber. You could make this with fresh mozzarella on top, or any way you like. I bought shredded cheese and sliced cheese to make it easier. I put the sauce on the side for husband, usually. I eat it without.
